Curiosity killed the cat
That's the saying we grew up with.
But it's not the full saying. The original goes: curiosity killed the cat, but satisfaction brought it back.
Someone along the way cut it in half. Kept the warning, dropped the reward. Easier to keep people in line that way.
Now look at what curiosity has actually done for us. Fire. Wheels. Writing. Medicine. Flight. Then the moon. Then Mars. Now AI.
Every one of those came from someone ignoring the warning.
The people who listened stayed where they were.
The ones who didn't — they moved things forward.
I don't know what's on the other side of the next question I haven't asked. Nobody does. That's the whole point.
